Since I am new to all of this, please tell me how you are able to put the pictures out there.

Go to "My Home" and "Personal information, email, password, etc.", scroll down and you'll see that you need a picture, the correct size, and link to it.
Welcome.

You look just fine, but I find the picture of a dead deer offensive. Please remove it.

There is no way to have a world where there is nothing that someone else will not find offensive. Just because you find it offensive doesn't mean it should be removed. If you register, you have the ability to control whether you see other user's pictures or not. Then you can set your preferences to not see these pictures and no longer be offended.
I don't know of anyplace where we as humans are granted a right to not be offended. That's one of the problems of our society today is that we are fostering such a belief system.
I can almost guarantee that some of your ancestors killed and ate animals to survive, so you wouldn't even exist if not for such killings.
Wyogirl, enjoy the venison!

Who said it was dead? Maybe it is a tame friendly buck! And "DITTO" on the registration!

"Almost," but no real guarantee. The dead deer needs to go!

Anon,
If you register you can turn users pictures off in your preferences under your profile. I turned users pictures off about a month ago because, to be quite honest, some were a little racey to be on my computer if someone else at work or at home was looking at it. Certainly did not look like I was keeping up with the latest regs.... Also there were some avatars that just plain creeped me out. I removed my own avatar and turned off everyone elses, and I don't really miss not having them.

Nothing like a little controversy on a Monday morning. Honestly, I just never thought about it being offensive, so I'm sorry if it indeed offends anyone. BUT, unless someone I truly respect, like Andy, Lucy, Mary Beth, etc. asks for it's removal, it will stay. How can I respect someone named Anon? (LOL) I am very proud of the buck, as to me, it is a symbol and expression of my independence as a woman in a man's world. It is also the lifestyle so many Wyomingnites lead and one we will defend to the death. Maria, where are you, I need your help!!! Probably off on Safari in Africa, you lucky girl you. Now that everyone is fired up, it is actually alive, as someone suggested. People always ask me when I return from a hunting trip..."Did you CATCH anything?" Well after many, many years of trying, I finally CAUGHT something. (LOL!!!) His name is Bambi, and he'll be joining us for dinner for the next 8-10 months! Anyway, sorry to stir things up, it was not my intention. Have a nice day! Wyogirl

Boomermom--It goes without saying that I am offended by your picture--it needs to go!
