One thing I just learned is that you can loan some books for 14 days through the kindle app. I did not know that...My friends and I are now loaning out books to one another. We all bring our kindle fires and look through each others books to see what we want to borrow from the other. Lots of fun...

Hmmm. I might have to borrow some from the Kindle app on my husband's iPad.

LOL! I want to get out of here in the worst way. laugh It doesn't matter that I have never lived anywhere else. Charleston S>C. is the place I wanna be.

Ugh, the traffic in Charleston is really getting bad. As my wife's aunt likes to remind me when we head down there to see her, it'd from all the D*** Yankees moving there. They really don't like us. Beautiful city, tho. Love to visit, wouldn't want to live there, and I'm only two hours away.

I have enough books loaded onto my Kindle Fire that I could take months off work and still not finish them all! smile

Games: Wordfeud, Words with Friends, Draw Something, Angry Birds, and assorted little kid games to keep my nieces busy for a few minutes at a time when they clamor, "can we play on your kindle?"

I ditched my Netflix subscription and signed up for Amazon Prime - tons of tv shows and movies, the Kindle Lending Library book (one at a time) for free, free 2 day shipping (more like 1 day shipping usually!) on anything I buy on Amazon. I'm loving it and have got my year's worth of money out of it already (and it's only April!).

Love the Fire. Best purchase I've made in a long time. I got mine in January; it was a birthday gift to myself with gift cards received. Enjoy your new toy when it arrives!

I LOVE my Kindle Fire! I use the Pandora app on it every single day. Our canned music at work is icky so this is my life line to sanity. I too upgraded from an older Kindle and am loving it! I like to use the audio books app when I'm traveling. Currently have Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter locked and loaded. grin

I couldn't find the "draw something" app for the fire. Last I checked, you couldn't download it. Is it available now, and where? Thanks...

I got it in the App Store on Amazon. Just go to the Apps section on your Kindle then to the store from there.

In case the Kindle Fire does not have a shortcut to the Amazon website, it is www.amazon.com.
