America is one of the few industrialized countries that will actually tax income earned out of the country so even if you move and earn income elsewhere, they can still tax it. There is a threshold - I believe $94,000 or so, before they begin taxing.

A bill passed the senate on the 14th that gave the IRS the power to revoke your passport if you owe taxes - the IRS doesn't have to prove that you owe taxes. No due process - no nada. Fun, huh?
