California may not be the highest today....

"June 4, 2012 -
BELLEVUE, Wash. - AAA says the average price of a gallon of gas in Washington state has risen to $4.28. That's up a penny in the last week, and 20 cents in the last month.

The Washington average is 69 cents higher than the national average. Some metro prices from around the area: Bellingham $4.46, Bremerton $4.27, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $4.33, Tacoma $4.30, Olympia $4.32, Vancouver $4.29, Yakima $4.23, Tri-Cities $4.15, Spokane $3.97." www.kndu.com

Ours went up to $3.25 last week but is now back down to $3.17. Hope it goes down a little more because I need to fill up soon.

CRAatBOK brings up an interesting phenomenon. Buying gas has become riskier than day trading. Do you buy today before the price goes up or do you wait because you expect it to go down? crazy

If my luck pricing gas is any indication, I should stay away from day trading.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
and you should always fill up early in the day, as fuel expands in heat...so less volume makes a gallon at noon than it does at 5:30 AM...

Somebody has gas prices lower than Tulsa? Wow.

Thanks for the advice Happy. I have heard that but never knew if it was true (still wondering but I know you would never lead me astray).

Gas was $3.18 when I came in this morning.

Lot of stations hovering at $3.04 here in SC. I wish somebody would bite the bullet and lower it a nickel for a day. I bet the lines would go around the block, just cause of the psychological effect.

Ours went down to $3.14 right after I filled up. Glad I could help others like that.
