A Grant Wood painting.
The Accredited Standards Committee X9 (ASC) was given credit for the substitute check images in the ABA Toolbox. Who/what is ASC and how can I get ahold of them?

Let me rephrase that. I know who/what ASC is, what I want to know is how to get ahold of a better copy (digital?) of the illustration on page 15, Book 1 of the ABA TOOLBOX CHECK 21. Anybody included in this illustrious group?

Have you tried contacting the ABA to see if they or their production staff have this image in digital form?

John, that would make entirly too much sense. Real compliance managers are resigned to do everything the hard way. I did ask them if the material was proprietory. That took quite a few phone calls to find out if that it as OK to use anyway I see fit.

Any ideas as to where I should start w/ the IBA? I am not having any luck on the ASCX9.

The ECCHO website www.eccho.org has a powerpoint (in their Check 21 section) depicting the substitute check. It was created by Andy Garner of Wachovia, who is the Chair of X9.90.
