Working on finishing Paris' book (Lords of the Underworld) then I might take a small break from Paranormal and read some of the freebies I've been stacking up since I started getting the Pixel of Ink emails.

RR Becca - I think this one was my favorite! I just did a re-read of it too.

Haven't had a lot of time for reading but did start a new series this week - Avatars by Tui Sutherland. About 3/4s of the way through the first and I like it so far.

Waiting on another book in the Avatars series, I started Elizabeth George "Believing the Lie". I have read almost all of this series (I skipped one on purpose.) They are very good reads, if you like murder mysteries.

Reading Enemies and Playmates- a regular romance novel, not smut- but it's not bad either.

Finished Lover Reborn last night. Now I'm sucked into this silly little YA series by Claudia Gray called "Evernight."

I saw that on the top 100 free ebooks on Amazon but I wasn't sure if I wanted people to see that title in my Kindle Fire book shelf. smile

I just finished The Book of Deacon series and it was pretty good for being cheap. (1st one free, second and third books were $2.99 each)

So excited I found this thread. I finished the GoT series about two months ago and have been itching for a good read. Found the Hunger Games series and read the triology in three days! Loved those books, although I thought Mockingjay ended VERY weakly.

So- I am wondering would you recommend I start reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood or the Outlander series?

Both?? wink MY preference would be for the Outlander series, but I'm sure the RR girls will go with BDB.

Over the weekend I read Naomi Novik's newest, "Crucible of Gold", and now I'm reading the 3rd book in Tui Sutherland's Avatars series.

RR - Outlander- Diana Gabaldon.

I just read the Wikipedia stuff on both series and I think the Outlander one sounds really interesting. I am not sure I would get into the BDB ones, but, then again, I never thought I would love Game of Thrones like I do. smile

Thanks all for your suggestions. LOVE this thread!

I've found the determining factor in whether or not someone likes the BDB series is their tolerance (or appreciation) of smut. If you are an afficionado, we have a whole separate thread for that. smile

Read a really interesting Sci-Fi (Young Adults) book over the weekend called "Singing the Dog Star Blues". Really interesting sci-fi style mystery. Very good and easy read.

Maddox reminds me a little of Barrons from the Faefever series by Karen Marie Moning. And I love him.

So, this is the beginning of the thread- Amazing how far we've come since January- We even have a whole new thread just for Paranormal trash. lol. just hought i'd share.

I just finished the Iron Fae series, and am reading a cute book about being a step-mom. "From Zero to Four Kids in Thirty Seconds" by Amy L Peterson. It's not the greatest page turner, but Cute is a good word. It makes me smile alot.
