Heading out to Poughkeepsie, New York for a couple of days. Anybody have restaurant recommendations? I know the Culinary Institute is there, but was wondering if there are any hidden gems to check out.

Thanks!

I hear Olive Garden is great - although I also hear they dont take reservations so be prepared to wait.

If all else fails, you can check out www.yelp.com and co a city search. I've had luck with that in the past.

Why in the world would anyone want to go to Poughkeepsie, NY? My folks lived there for 10 years... eek

I don't know the name of the restaurant and it may not even be there anymore. About 5 years ago, we were in Poughkeepsie for a family event and went to a great Italian restaurant. It was across the street from the motel, possibly a Days Inn.
