What to do in Cleveland?

A few friends and I are meeting up for a girls weekend in Cleveland at the end of the month. We are still researching were we will stay and what we should do while there. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, we'll just sit by the pool and drink wine all weekend. Which isn't a bad idea either.

Isn't there a big brewery there? Maybe they do tours? OH! And the house from A Christmas Story is there! I think they have a whole museum of stuff from the movie.

The Horseshoe Casino just opened in downtown Cleveland recently and it is fabulous. There are lines just to get in. There is a great restaurant in the Casino and lots of super restaurants surrounding it, like Lola's. If you like the gambling scene, you will love it.

can you still go down to Lake Erie and look at the dead fish? We did that in the late 70s...

How close is the amusement park with all the roller coasters? I forget the name...is it Cedar Point?

Definately check out Cedar Point if you have a day to spare. It's one of the best parks to which I've been. The park is a little more than an hour west on the Pike. http://www.cedarpoint.com/Unless it's changed in the last 15 years (the last time I was there), there is a thriving bar strip. Here's a NYTimes slideshow of things to do. Although it doesn't appear too inclusive.

She could have them over, she is about the only thing worth visiting in Cleveland (Unless the Reds are in town to play the Indians).
