Our ol' BOL buddy, Fightin' Blue Hen (or FBH as we came to know him), passed away this week from cancer. He battled pretty hard against colon cancer which later metasticized and spread to other organs, including his lungs. He never quit battling though, and his last wish was for his friends, family, everyone really, to keep battling. A 501c3 organization is in the works now. The website is cancerbware.org but you can find the live action on Facebook if you search for page/group cancerbware.org.

As for a eulogy, all I can say is, though I never got to meet him in person, he was a really great guy and I would have loved to hang out with him personally and get one of his famous bear hugs. He leaves behind his dog Liberty and a rather large collection of friends and family. RIP FBH smile

Oh, that's so sad. He was a great guy.
I disbelieved what he was saying so hard, I probably created an alternate universe where it wasn't true.

Salute to a life well lived FBH! Thanks for posting Dip.

After reading through his posts about his cancer and treatment, I wish I would have known him. He had such an awesome attitude about life. Very sad to lose someone so young.
I can explain it to you. I can't understand it for you.

What a fighter and optimist he was. I pray he has found the comfort and peace he so deserves.

He had an amazing spirit that came through loud and clear in his words posted here. Thanks for the post, Dip. R.I.P. FBH, you will be missed.

Thank you Dip for sharing the news. So very sad to hear, but I am also glad to see everyone celebrate his life and establish cancerbware.org.
