The Fed has announced this afternoon that Sandy Braunstein has been appointed to head up the Division of Consumer and Community Affairs, replacing the retiring Delores Smith.

I don't know if S. Braunstein will be "friendly" toward banks or not.

Sandy has a long history in community development and neighborhood reinvestment. Her experience in the division hasn't been on the regulatory or supervisory side. Very interesting.
