We had a customer who does not bank with us (no accts)cash three cashiers checks at three different locations. In reviewing the transactions for that day we discovered this, we are not able to come up with a DOB, SS# or the occupation how do we fill out the CTR? Also further research shows that this was done on purpose so we will also be filing a SAR.

Thanks for any input

I would call the person (your customer) who gave him the checks.
Are the checks from the same Payor?

Two other options: 1) use the new form and mark the "unknown" box or 2) use a skip trace program such as Nexus. I would go with #2 - with the name & D.L# I can get the rest.
