The federal government’s newly created Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is recruiting investigators in ads that suggest the agency plans to go undercover to pursue cases against banks, credit card companies and other financial companies.

“As needed,” one recent recruitment ad stated to potential investigators, “establish and conduct surveillance activity to develop both intelligence and evidence to further investigations. Utilize surveillance activities to identify subjects, their activities and their associates, corroborate source information and collect evidence.”

I am so applying... laugh

I figure it's only a matter of time before the CFPB gets their own little police force that they can use to raid evil banks the next time 'Greg from Michigan' fails to help his elderly mom with her checking account. After all, the Dept. of Education has their own police force & they just deal with children, so the CFPB must definitely need one since they have to deal with the big, bad bankers.

We recently had a young, well dressed African-American male come into the bank requesting information on our deposit accounts. He was asking questions that a typical customer would not normally ask. The employee helping him was suspicious if he really was a ‘potential’ customer. She handled everything like she should. From this I would say that the banks are being worked—not sure by who, but this post did not surprise me.
