We are experiencing problems signing on to and working CTRs.

Anyone else having this today?

I just filed my CTRs. Signing in took longer than normal, but once I was in I had no problems.

Once I finally got in, I was able to submit a CTR but when I tried to send another, I was timed out and it never processed the submitted form. We do not file batches. I had to log out and sign in each time I tried to file a CTR.

at 1PM Central time I filed two. But logging in took about 3x longer than normal before the screen responded. The first ctr went though no problem. The second one gave me an error msg when I hit the Submit button. It kicked me off line and I had to wait about 20 minutes before the second attempt succeeded. In that time (assuming C12 numbers are sequential) 56 CTRs had been filed.

Ugh..pulling my hair out! It has taken me 45 minutes to file 2 CTRs...I guess noone thought about the huge influx of CTRs when they changed filing procedures!

Dont bother sending emails to their help desk either. I sent two emails about different problems and received the same email response for each that didnt even answer my question. Pretty sad.

I hit "submit" on a SAR 30 minutes ago and still nothing. This is beyond frustrating!

Follow up - Called FinCen. The woman I spoke with says they have been having problems for several days, started Friday. This matches what I have been experiencing as I have been trying to file since Friday with continued problems. If you are persistent you can get through, but takes lots of time!!

We too emailed about FinCEN being to slow or not responding. Our response back from FinCEN was basically, yes we know and we don't have a clue how to fix it yet. But they appreciate our patience... 0_0

We do discrete filing. ****knock wood**** I haven't had any issues. I tend to do mine somewhere between 8:30 and 9:30 am

Ok, I was feeling lucky this morning so I attempted to file again. I am beyond frustrated. I am now getting submission errors that my PIN is incorrect. I tried 3 times slowly watching my finger hit the number keys...no luck. Is anyone else getting this error?

YES...FinCEN issued a notice on July 17th stating that there were intermitent problems and the regulators are aware. I would just print the information and document anytime you have an issue. That is ALL you can do. They can't cite us if it is beyond our control.

I emailed FinCEN also before I read this. Same issues. You can get in if you are persistent with you login attempts and submit your reports quickly. BSA E-filing recommended trying file our CTRs early morning or in the evening. Neither works.

ComplianceGurl - I have experienced the same problems this morning - difficulty logging on, submission not going, unable to open Inbox, slow doesnt begin to describe! Have been able to finally file all my outstanding CTRs but it has taken time and retries and hair pulling. So frustrating!

I like to keep current so when I am unable to file for a day or two it frustrates the heck out of me. I understand your frustration and wanting to clear things up before vacation. Enjoy your vacation though and dont worry about BSA E-file - it will still be slow when you get back! smile

doodles, our filer has been complaining all morning from across the room how she'll get a few done then FinCEN shuts her down. We discrete file also, and have a backed up pile from vacations as well. I'm waiting to see a computer/monitor come flying across the room! We have so many to file that we can't just file during the morning hours, it tends to flow into early afternoon, later now with the website delays frown
