We received a bulletin from Transfund that we have to add a lengthy disclosure to our debit card brochures that are already jam packed with disclosures. This is called "Card Issuer Requirement for Non-Visa Debit Transaction Processing". It's basically saying to consumers that if they choose to do a transaction processed as Pulse (or whatever the bank's PIN network is)that different terms will apply and they won't be eligible for rewards acrued on transactions over the Visa network. It also says that cetain rights in their agreement pertaining to Visa check card only transactions will not apply to the Pulse transactions. The whole thing is close to 200 words!
Anyone else get this and know if you have to include all of the information. The last part about certain rights in their agreement is already stated in our disclosures as "additional limit of liability [of Visa's]does not apply to ATM transactions or transactions using your PIN which are not precessed by Visa". That I think would be redundant to add what Transfund is saying again.
