FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
I downloaded Ken Follet's "Winter of the World" book 2 in the Century Series. Good read if you like historical fiction. He's taken 5 families from before WW1 in the first book to before and during WWII in this second book.

Ken, Don't know how you feel about Clive Cussler - but I love those books. They are fast paced and entertaining - no brain cells needed.

"Micro" by Michael Crichton. Yes I know it's fluff, yes I know the 'technology' is wildly suspect. It's still a fun read.

I just finished a sweet book,"Dream when You're Feeling Blue" by Elizabeth Berg. The setting is Chicago in the 1940's, during WW2. An easy read, highly recommended.

My hubby gave me a Simple Nook for my birthday and I bought my first read over the weekend. Reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks. I'm also reading the The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families by the late Stephen Covey.

Read the new Felix Francis over the weekend (he took over his father's series.) It was OK, some parts were kind of disjointed / rushed. Still in the same Dick Francis tradition overall though.

I'm about half way through Insurgent, the second in the Divergent serious my Veronica Roth. So far, the first was better but it's a great story nonetheless.

State of confusion
I am currently going to read "How to win friends and influence people" - which I have already read at the university...but apparently some of the powers that be feel that their compliance officer could use a softer touch with the co-workers so I shall read it again.
