I also saw this.....

It could be nan, nanna, nanny, gran, grandma, granny there are loads of ways to call your grandmother but it doesn't matter what you call her as long as you love and cherish her

My folks are Nonna and Baba. Nonna because the oldest grandchild wouldn't call her anything. She finally said, "Can you say Donna?" (her name). Nonna is what came out!

The littlest one (22 months) calls his other grandpa Dude. Mostly because Grandpa calls him Little Dude. smile

I called my grandmothers Big Grammie and Little Grammie, based on height. I don't know who came up with that, but I wonder what Big Grammie thought, given Little Grammie's girth.

My kids were grandkids 10 and 11 for my mother-in-law, so her name was fairly well established by then, Grandma Snooky. My mom asked to be called Grandma Lorrie, as her name was Lorraine. I still think that odd, since no one ever called her Lorrie.

My kids call both sets of grandparents Nana & Papa. Growing up I called my maternal grandparents Grammy & Grampy. My paternal grandparents were vovô and vovó (Portuguese-they live in Brazil).

When my one niece was little, one day she just unexpectedly popped out with "Graham Cracker" addressing my mom (her grandmother), and it stuck. Everyone seems to think it's adorable, and my mom loves it, so everyone is happy. She calls her other grandparents Grammy and Grampy and my dad "Grandpa", but my mom is "Graham Cracker" and the siblings all followed suit.

My other brother's kiddos call both sets of grandparents "Grandma" and "Grandpa" and just insert the last name after each.

I was only ever lucky enough to know my mom's parents, my father's father died before I was born and my father's mom died when I was a year old. So my grandparents were just "Grandma" and "Grandpa" to me.

I had Grandma and Little Grandma. And she was short and very tiny so it fit.
