If I am reading Reg B correctly, if a guarantor applies contemporaneously with an applicant, he/she becomes a joint applicant for joint intent purposes. Is he/she a joint applicant for all other aspects of the regulation or just for the joint intent section?

I am getting really confused because the guarantor is a consumer and almost every regulation I have looked at says "if the consumer...". To me, this makes the guarantor eligible for all the protections, disclosures, etc. provided by the regulations. However, as I research past posts, people keep saying the regulations (other than joint intent under Reg B) don't apply to guarantors.

WHAT AM I MISSING???
