Bethlehem PA area - lots of trees down and many people without power, phone, cable. I am one of the lucky ones - power was only out from 8pm Monday until 1:30pm Tuesday - minor damage to home - facia torn off and one piece of vinyl siding coming loose.
Many of my employees homes are without power and not scheduled to have power restored until MAYBE November 4. We still have about 15 branches and offices without power and still others have communication challenges. My building cannot receive or make phone calls, only internal extensions.
As far as I have heard, no one was hurt or had serious property damage, of which we are grateful.

Has he checked in yet? The following is quoted without permission. I don't think his aim is THAT good tho from so far away...so here is a Sox report: Hey guys- No biggie up here in NH. Lots of wind and rain, but nothing serious for me. Lots of power outages but nothing much worse than that. THanks for asking-

Hi all. What a week!
We are in recovery mode here. Trees are still blocking roads and widespread lack of power here in central jersey. House and family are fine. The dog looked at me yesterday with that "Hey, what did you do with the power" look.
Bank is running on generators but we were able to open 8 branches and others had some limited capabilities. We are slowly getting some stuff going but it looks like the recovery will be a long process.
Next issje is having enough fuel for cars.and generators. Up to five hour lines at the gas stations.

Pulling people out of the ditc...

Bloomberg article about 100+ cars in line at NJ gas stations, people won't be allowed into Manahattan with less than 3 people in a car, some subways operating and then forcing a change to a bus, no mass transportation tolls through tomorrow (city to lose $18mm per day), power still out to many, businesses only accepting cash - can't get acsh because ATMs have no power...

The folks on Staton Island are screaming they are the new Katrina because all people are talking about is Manhattan.
Anyone heard from EdA ? He lives on Long Island I think.
