Are there any advertising rules that apply specifically to SBA loans? My bank is putting together a brochure listing the types of SBA loans we offer, and are going to use it as a marketing tool. I have reviewed the standard advertising rules and we are OK with those. Just want to make sure there isn't anything I'm missing.

Thanks!

SBA doesn't have specific rules in regards to lender advertising or marketing.

What type of information is included in your brochure? Is it a "tombstone" ad?

The brochure describes a few of the SBA loan programs that we offer. No rates are mentioned. Just brief overview of the available programs and some benefits of borrowing with SBA. Pretty vanilla.

Ahhh. I like vanilla smile

I would make sure none of the verbiage or advertising could be considered UDAAP.

Refer to your advertising policy and procedures, checklists...
