My wife works with a lady that has had her Liberty for the last 5 years and she drives 70 miles round trip each day to work. It is still going strong with little major problems. Just routine maint. is all that she's done.

My friend has had hers for years. Took her to college and back. Job and married. A year of 70 miles per day commute. She loves it too. No problems with it ever.

I have owned 2 Jeep Patriots and love them both.. you would have to go with a newer model year - I think they started in 07 or 08? Fantastic ride, mileage, cost, etc... They are a little less expensive than the Liberty and I felt like they rode so much better.

We also own a Dodge Journey and are extremely pleased.

My only piece of advice... don't cosign on a loan (see my post about ringing my adult child's neck)

I've had a Jeep Liberty for 1 year. No issues. Bought it used. Like it. Hate the gas mileage. Only get 19-20 miles per gallon. I tend to speed so take that into account. I used to drive a car that got 30 miles per gallon so it was an adjustment. The back doesn't leave much room for luggage and things like that. No trunk to hide your valuables and things if you're out shopping.

laugh No. Now I don't even have junk. If I'm out shopping, I just pray no one likes the look of anything I have in the back or take things in with me.

It's good for loading large items with the back seats laid down that you normally couldn't load with a car. It also pulls a 5x8 cargo trailer like it's not there. Going from a car to a jeep; I do like being higher off the ground. I feel like I can see traffic better and they can see me better as well.

Werd! cool
I love sports cars, but my truck is mildly lifted and has 36" tires on it. I find it very hard to drive in traffic sitting on the ground now. Love being able to see (and drive) over most things. smile

On a side note, I saw a Prius monster truck this weekend. laugh

You Jeremy and Matt did fine! Erin? Not too bad for one that is vertically challenged. Now Jen in the short, skinny, tight dress on the other hand.... I suppose it helps that she has 42" long legs! laugh
