Has anyone who uses CALYX found a workaround enabling you to add signature lines to the bottom of the HUD1 instead of adding another page?

There should not be a "workaround" as it is prohibited to alter HUD's form. Adding a signature line is considered to be an alteration.

Doesn't 1024.9(a)(7) allow for the addition of signature lines?

The GFE cannot be altered to add signature lines. The HUD-1 can be altered, typically it is on the fourth page..
