I thought I saw a thread on this topic but can't find it. On line 27 on the CTR when do you do withdrawal vs negotiable instrument cashed? We always thought that if the funds were coming from their own account it would be a withdrawl, and if they were cashing a third party check it would be a negotiable instrument cashed.

Thanks for the help.

The box merely describes the instrument used in the transaction, not the individual conducting it.

If an individual cashes a check (whether it is their account or not) use negitiable instrument cashed. If an individual uses an over the counter withdrawal slip to withdraw funds from their own account, check the withhdrawal box.
