Pulling people out of the ditc...
$500 million, cash payout of $327 million...roughly $179 million after taxes...MsGilmore would require $150 million for new shoes and purses, guess I would invest the rest and live quietly...

I left out the part about building a new house with no neighbors, a beautiful view, and a sturdy fence and gate smile AND a commercial grade dishwasher!

I would hire an attorney and an accountant ASAP.

I would establish a foundation for charitable giving and hire some family members and friends to run it.

I would pay off all my own debt as well as that of all my siblings and probably give them money as well.

I would establish trust funds for my niece and nephew with the stipulation that they need to earn a college degree to access any of the money.

I would build my dream home on as many acres as I could get contiguously in my area. I would build a fabulous horse barn and an indoor (and okay, an outdoor) riding arena and probably add a horse, or six. smile

And finally, I'd whisk away my fellow RRs for a getaway because I will have enough money for bail then. wink

First - Hire an attorney and become a ghost. Then....

1. God gets his first, thanks Dude.
2. Retire debt, mine and the families.
3. Set up investment trusts. I plan on living on interest forever.
3. Trusts for the kids and grandkids. No touchy touchy for awhile.
4. Set up a self sustaining (hopefully) trust for charitable giving.
5. Buy something stupid

I saw a special on those - too cool! There was a group of ladies who had done this and traveled together. They were really creative.

1. Hire Lawyer & Accountant
2. Pay off all family debt
3. Put the vast majority of it in secure investments and live off the interest.
4. Buy hunting ground
5. Match my friends current annual salary and benefits so he doesnt have to work - Cause I need someone to hunt and fish with.
