I have truly loved reading this. I have a couple of tatoos, a 1 rose and a 2 heart on my bikini line, and 3 a bunny rabbit on my chest. They are never ever visible at work.
I took over as the VP of compliance at my holding companies second bank a little over a year ago - and they all think I am Atilla the Hun because they were in a bad compliance situation so I had to put the hammer down a bit. This year they were discussing tattoos and I chimed in and I thought their jaws would fall off when they heard!
Good Gawd, I am only 37 years old, you'd think I was grandma by the looks on their faces. Made me giggle! funny, i thought a couple was 2...  plus, if you were a grandma, that 3rd tatoo wouldn't still be on your chest, it would be on your belly and heading further south

well, I initially thought that, but then it would be written "a rose and heart" indicating one, not "a rose and a heart" which is indicative of 2... (alternatively, it is very slow at work and extremely bored)

1 tattoo - a heart with a rose running through it :-) so a couple being two total.
Both still hanging out where they originally belonged thank Goodness!!

I always get the urge when others talk about getting them. Just found out my younger sis wants to get one to cover the scar on her leg from surgery. I begged her to take me with so I can get another one too.

Why do I always get the urge for a new tattoo when it's swimming weather?  Usually I do, but this past weekend I spent at a massive indoor water park at WI Dells and saw hundreds of the most grotesque, poorly executed, tacky tattoos. I've never seen such terrible body art all in one place. And I am a fan, usually (I have a couple and hubby has a collection). But my urge was taken care of for a while  You can also watch a NBA game as well to kill the urge.

The cost of tat removal is coming down, especially with the new laser removal equipment coming on the market. It is estimated there are 50,000 people in Houston alone that have tat remorse. It is a promising field for anyone looking to start a business.

I really don't want to think i'm the first type and find out after i'm the 2nd type. o.m.g. I so totally agree with Happy on this! Kelly Osbourne is having her tats removed because she said: "As you get older, you realize that you don't want to be defined by your tattoos, because that's not the type of person that I am." Also I live an hour away from the Dells so I've seen a LOT of the same kind of people QCL did last weekend.
