Fed updated these two booklets last month. Does anyone know if use of the updated versions is mandatory?

I was looking for information on this topic yesterday and couldn't find anything. I know the CHARMs booklet does have a revision date of 3/12.

I've still seen nothing. The HELOC brochure is at:

I saw somewhere where you could use up existing stock first.

There is a 4/2012 version of the CHARM booklet. http://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/201204_CFPB_ARMs-brochure.pdf

There was no explanation as to what changed from the 3/2012 version. This is for both the CHARM booklet and the HELOC booklet.

I would say that if you previously linked to the FRB web site version of these booklets, you should update your links to those using the CFPB URL address. I think you can hold off on ordering new hard copies until your supply is exhausted but I haven't seen that definitively stated by either the CFPB or the FRB.

Previously, we were ordering these for free from the Fed. Do we pay for the booklets now??

I think the Government has gotten out of printing these booklets. You are probably going to have to go to a vendor or print them yourself.

Anyone have a vendor recommendation for ordering these, since it's only available on the CFPB site as a download?
