Try red beet wine. I do NOT like beets, but the wine was v.v.good!

Probably beat the banana wine I tried one time. YUCK! Although I was proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone.

Bought the hubs some new cologne yesterday. I'm not very good at picking that kind of stuff out... I hope he likes it.

Someone gave us a random act of kindness yesterday. Yesterday was our recycling pickup day - and the winds were horrendous - gusting to 55 mph. When I got home the bin was no where to be seen - not down the street - not up by the fence, no where. I walked the dog later and scanned the street as I went - no bin.

I was looking outside around 6:30 after my husband said it was spitting snow - and the bin was in our driveway. Someone had collected it during the windstorm - and put it back after we got home. I just don't know who to thank.

No alocohol can be shipped into Oklahoma. There are some great gift baskets I have wanted to have shipped to friends and relatives that don't live near me and if it has a bottle of wine in it I can't do it.

Music store here in town doesn't carry Joe Bonamassa. Just a warning to those looking. It was going to be a stocking stuffer for the hubs. Oh well...

out of the frying pan...
Don't know if it counts as a "gift" since I'm mostly buying it myself, but I'm trying a new saddle tomorrow. Been looking for one for three years now!

I was really excited about giving the hubby an iPad, but that plan has been put on indefinite hold because of the upcoming bathroom renovations.

My Mrs. makes it way too easy. We were out shopping last weekend, she saw something and said "If you haven't bought me something yet, you can get this for me". Bought it, got home, she grabbed it and started wrapping it...

Her family does Christmas in the least secretive way, takes all the fun out of it for me!

I never understood wrapping presents for yourself. Makes no sense to me at all.

That is pretty awesome. I remember how excited my hubs was when he got his saddle one year for Christmas. We paid for half and his mom paid for half of a custom made roping saddle. He was like a kid in a candy shop when it finally arrived.

My sister has been dropping hints about Christmas gifts for the past three weeks despite me repeatedly telling her that her gift was already purchased! LOL...I think she thinks I'm lying.

I like to be surprised at Christmas too. BUT I saw a new Brahmin handbag today at lunch that made me drool and go weak in the knees. I got real close to calling my husband to ask if Santa could bring it to me. It was animal print, trimmed in leather. I petted it for a few minutes before I moved on. ::sigh::

I buy my own gifts, but I do draw the line at wrapping them.

I'm also guilty of this. Especially a Brahmin bag.
