I think Christmas Eve I will be spending watching the DILs stomach to see if contractions have started Christmas Eve is good snacky stuff like shrimp, crab fingers, prosiutto, sporesetto, and multiple bottles of champagne. Christmas Day breakfast will be eggs, etc and mimosas/pointsettias. Christmas dinner the DIL is making a wine marinated ham. Should be good! QM - what is Bierox? Bierox a homemade bread roll stuffed with ground beef, cabbage and onions Called Krautburgers in our house. My husband's aunt makes them every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas and brings him a couple of dozen. Our family eats them with mustard. They are a big deal around here.

A friend of mine, her family is from Nebraska. When her mom comes to visit she mades these. They call them Runzas. I just call them cabbage biscuits.

nothing and nothing. As I have recently joined the ranks of the single, and the kid will be with her father, I think Christmas day will be spent in my jammies watching movies.

They are the best. I don't think I would care for the mustard, but I have known people who liked to put cheese on top. They are yummy!

They are most definitely yummy! I like to have just a little pat of butter on my. My friend's family uses some sort of gravy over theirs.

My Mom never used a recipe. http://www.food.com/recipe/nanas-bierox-german-hamburgers-bierocks-199869

I think the holder of that recipe is being selfish, or something. However you make your ham, if it's in a glass pan do not add cold soda to the pan. It will cause the pan to explode in your oven.
For Christmas day, I'll be eating popcorn, nachos and soft pretzles while watching Les Mis.

I will possibly be doing that- Though probably still in my jammies.

Nothing yet. But I'm thinking a big fat juicy steak, if I can find a good source. It's called a cow.

I have a deer steak in my freezer.
And PP - best steaks come from steers. Definitely not cow.

Any response I give gets me in trouble so I am leaving this one alone. Although I will say that I was using cow in the generic sense for cattle not using the gender specific form.
