Question about #49 on the MLR "Seller of Prepaid Access" How do you report on this? Every convenience store, restaurant, retail, grocery and fast food joint sells some form of these cards. Any guidance on filling out that area of the MLR will be greatly appreciated!

Keep in mind that #49 is under the heading of MSB. That means you are only listing your MSB pre-paid access information on this question. The $1,000 rule per day per person would apply. That would rule out many of your "convenience store, restaurant, retail, grocery and fast food joints". Only the ones you have identified as an MSB would be listed here.

Thank you, I thought the prepaid access limit was higher than S1,000.00 for them to qualify as an MSB. For some reason $2,000.00 sticks in my head. As well as whether they sold open or closed looped cards. Has anyone else heard that the thresholds are different, or if it matters if they are closed or open looped cards?
