Amazing what they can do now. Although it would be kinda weird.. having someone else's arms. You can't see the various internal organs when they are transplanted.

waiting patiently for the process of washing out the old DNA and replacing the substitute organ with your own DNA, or growing you new replacement organs on the back of pigs....

we do have the most expensive healthcare system in the history of man, but it is also the best by far....

I saw part of his interview on TV last night. He seemed like such a great guy, and he still has a sense of humor after everything he's been through.

Doctors also transplanted bone marrow from the arm donor. It's a new procedure that they hope will help avoid rejection. It is truly amazing what advances have been made.

he can't do that, he had actually lost his arms and legs...he felt that he could live without his legs, but not having arms was too much to bear...

imagine if you got the arms from some convicted serial killer...and they forgot to change the fingerprints...or worse, if you got an arm from someone with alien hand syndrome...or they were left handed and you were right...or they hard carpal tunnel...or tennis elbow...

Isn't it the brain that decides if you're left or right handed? I just keep seeing Popeye arms (on spinach) on that little guy - I guess because they had the arms bundled ups so much.
