Are you all aware of any regulation that dictates how our overdraft fees are worded on a statement depending on whether the item which caused the overdraft was paid versus returned. For example, should the fees state "overdraft paid fee" and "returned nsf fee" versus just "overdraft fee". I was told that the description must state the words paid or returned in them in order to be in compliance. I am unaware of such a reg. Anyone else?

1030.6(a)(3) Comment 2:

Examples of fees that may not be grouped together are--

iv. Fees for paying overdrafts and fees for returning checks or other items unpaid.
