Bought jeans with a 34 waist yesterday. Last time I bought jeans with a 34 waist was 25 years ago. My wife gave me a high five when I came out of the fitting room.

Are you sure it was a "high five" and not a "good game" slap on the rear?? laugh

It's a great feeling to go down in those jean sizes. At one point I was flirting with going from a 38 to a 40, not acceptable on a 5'7" guy! Haven't gotten below a 32, but at this point unless my hip bones shrink, I probably won't. Toss most of those old ones so you can't go back!

Nice, MBH! One of my goals for this riding season is to get back into my 34s, all of which are stacked in the closet and awaiting my return. smile

Good job MBH! It's a great feeling to fold up those old "too big" pants and put them in the donation bag.

Oh no - Now the Thrift Shop song is running through my brain.

Got twenty dollars in my pocket...

Okay - so here is a "Before and After" (in progress)

This is me - one year ago wearing size 18 pants and a 2XL top:
March 2012

And this is me - yesterday - Size 8 pants and Medium top:
Yesteray - March 2013

If I can do it - ANYONE can!!!

It was also my birthday last week - not sayin' which one!

(And yes - my cat photobombed the picture yesterday!)

WOW! Nicely done!

Which one of you were talking about cinnamon as a supplement? I had a question.

What's the difference in the cinnamon you are buying online, vs what you could buy say at Walmart?

And how much are you taking each day?

I'm not buying it, PR. Those are two different women. Or one has been photoshopped.

MBH - LOL!!! Thanks for the ego boost! It was that first photo that shocked me to get serious about improving my diet and fitness. Okay, and for the record, last week was my 53rd birthday.

The cinnamon I buy on-line is Ceylon cinnamon. The cinnamon you buy at Walmat will probably be Cassia (or "common" or "Chinese") cinnamon.

With respect to controlling blood sugar levels, there is not much difference between the two. However, Cassia cinnamon has a 5% concentration of coumarin which is a blood thinner. It is also an ingredient in rat poison. A large enough concentration can cause liver and kidney problems. When used as a seasoning, the coumarin content is not an issue. However, if you start taking doses, you could have issues.

Ceylon cinnamon has only a trace amount of courmarin. I purchase the Ceylon cinnamon capsules and take 4 a day - 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening.

Very curious. Thanks for the info, I saw it last night and wondered what the difference was.

Now I want to know what cinnamon is made of...off to Google.

Dried inner-bark of a couple different trees and shrubs. smile When it dries, it curls up into the cinnamon stick shape. Sri Lanka is probably one of the best known locations.

You should probably plant some of the trees!

You're practically tropical compared to us, so sure, why not! So you may need a decent greenhouse, that's fine, you've got space to build one and plenty of free time to tend to it! laugh
