Why does NACHA have a diferent expiration date rule for placing ACH Stop Payments on Consumer accounts (indefinite/ withdrawal by receiver, and/or return of debit entry), and the expiration date for non-consumer accounts is 6-months?

Why don't they make the ACH Stop Payment expiration date time-period the same for both consumer and non-consumer accounts?

Pulling people out of the ditc...

Reg E governs consumer ACH and it doesn't govern commercial ACH. NACHA lines up with the regs.
