It definitely sounds like she's setting up more story lines. Assail/Sola, Trez/Selena and Xcor/Layla.

I did like it, it didn't take me long to read it. Well, at least for me smile. But, I kinda felt like Ward struggled a little bit writing it. Probably trying to be politically correct and not offend her readers with the Quinn/Blay romance.

But overall I did like it. Can't wait for the next book.

Also, TWICE in the last week I've heard people use a version of the phrase "What's doing?" The first was Jeremy Wade on the show River Monsters, and the second was during a sports broadcast (I think it was a hockey game, but not sure because I only caught it in passing as the hubs was flipping channels). I thought Ward made that phrase up, but apparently not... or she has more fans than I realize... grin

I am seeing that now! Perhaps it's just not used much around here. When Jeremy Wade said it, I figured, OK, it's a British thing. Then when I heard it on TV I thought, OK, it's a Canadian thing?

Did you see that JR Ward posted a link to her BDB 'soundtrack' on her website? I was sort of disappointed when it truly was all rap music. frown
