I found the above form in a mortgage file. The purpose of the form is to advise the borrower about ALL of the banks mortgage products that are available.

I can't remember where this comes from. Is it for the purpose of demonstrating that the customer was not steered to any particular product?

There is something stirring in the deep recesses of my brain, but I can't quite remember.

My first thought was anti-steering as well, Swiggles.

Someone here at my new job asked me 1) if the form is required and 2) what the timing provision is.

I was going to answer that there is no regulatory requirement, thus no timing issue. At my former bank, seems we got into fair lending trouble because we were unable to explain why certain borrowers ended up with in-house loans and others went secondary market.

But I started second guessing myself.
