You know what drives me nuts? When I think I'm getting a whole book and it's really just a 'novella'. They should have their own category on Amazon... mostly so I can avoid them all together.

Or even worse - when you think you're getting an anthology and it's just one story.

I am so glad we have this thread going. Sometimes I felt a little ummm like a bad girl posting all the Brother books I was reading, in the What are you reading? thread. Now I can feel good about telling you I started the first Demonica book today and am loving it!

kms, don't ever feel bad for reading what you like. We read what we enjoy! Who is to say that what they are reading is any better?

BTW, my hubby said he can tell when I'm at a "good" part in the book.

Novellas should not be allowed in the book section. I hate when I start onw w/out realizing, then 20 minutes later the story is over.
Does it seem to any of you that the freebies are either smut or Christian? I think that's so odd.

Back when Twilight first came out and before the movie idiocy took it over, I was a member of the Lexicon fan board. Somebody over there dubbed this phenomenon "happy wife syndrome" and stated that intelligent husbands would feed our habit instead of whining about our bookwormish ways. My hubby just says, "you've been reading your naughty books again, haven't you?"

Mine too. The BF pretends to be all upset when I'm reading a "good" book, cause normally ends up meaning he's in for a treat later and he's "upset" about having to put forth the energy. lol

Toward the end, i wasn't attracted to my ex anymore. Times i knew he would want/expect me to perform my "wifely duties" i'd have to find something fairly smutty to read for about and hour before in order to get things going. One of many reasons our marriage failed. lol

I tend to be fairly open about everything- so if its TMI for you tell me. lol

PState, the first time I used the term 'crotch novel' in front of the hubs, he got the funniest look on his face....
