I thought I knew this but I can't seem to find an answer. If the subject's occupation is unknown, do we enter "unknown" on the new SAR form or do we leave that field (#7) blank? Thanks.

"Unknown" is a specifically prohibited entry; you cannot put that word in any of the boxes.

If it truely is "unknown" after attempting to obtain info and doing your due dilligence, then you would leave it blank - since this line item does not have the unknown box to check off. However I most definitely would not make it a habit of marking unknown.
