Anyhoo...back to the original topic... My reason for leaving my last job was that my new boss insisted I send my resume to her, because I was going to start working for her within the month!

Oh there is SO something I would like to say right now. You are showing great restraint and maturity by keeping it to yourself. Would you quit that and share?!?

I left the last place because the inmates ran the asylum which resulted essentially in anarchy. It was a horrible place.

More money and a nice cubicle. But the job I left to get into banking, I left because their checks would bounce and the bosses were trying to get me to do an adult video. as Paul Harvey would say, and now - the rest of the story Having already done 2 adult videos for them, for which i was not paid what i was promised, i figured it was time to put my foot down. Plus, is it really too much to ask for clean sheets and maybe a towel or 2 to use between scenes? I don't think I was being unreasonable. But the real kicker is they wanted me to use bacon in a couple of scenes - and at that, I draw the line. You can ridicule me, but no one puts bacon in the corner!!!

Last job was in private industry. After my company did their IPO, the corporate restructuring caused my boss to move and even though he offered me a nice incentive to move with him, it was not a fit for my family.
Instead I got a new job as something called a "compliance officer" at a bank. How hard could that be? LOL

I left my previous job in January of 1986. I worked in the catalog department at the local Sears back when people would actually order from the catalog and have it delivered to the store to pick up. I had been hired to help out with the Christmas rush and got laid off when the rush ended. I started my current job a month later.

The best one someone told me during an interview was that she resigned for religious reasons. I asked her to explain and she said her boss thought he was God and she didn't.
[Knowing her boss, an offer was made for her sense of humor and being able to put up with him for so long.]

I saw from a previous post that someone left their job because they were sick of working from home. I know working from home is not for everyone, but I would love to give it a try. I think that might give me a beneficial reason to stay at a job. Seems like you would have less office politics to deal with on a daily basis.

I get to work from home sometimes. It's only after working 8+ hours at the office or when I am supposed to be on vacation though. Not as much fun as I imagined.
