Has anyone gone to the ICBA BSA/AML institute. I was wondering if it is worth the money? I have been doing BSA for about 1 1/2 yrs. I would be attending the one in Minneapolis. Thank you in advance for your input.

I came in from a lending background and assumed BSA responsibilities. It was EXCELLENT. Learned a ton that I implemented and made examiners happy. Definitely worth the money for us.

I concur. When I was asked to take over BSA responsibilities I immediately registered for this course. David Bequeaith and his team do an EXCELLENT job. You'll come away knowing the basics, plus more based on their experiences.

Is this conference only geared to beginners in BSA? or is it beneficial to all levels?

It's been a couple of years now since I took it, and considering the topics and how Bequeaith keeps current on changes and what's hot, I'd say it would still be beneficial to all levels.

Doesn't look like I will be going this year. FDIC are coming in for exam on May 20. Hopefully I'll be able to go next year. I appreciate all the comments.

Not sure how it fits in your budget, but in addition to the May session in Minneapolis, they also have one in Chicago in August and another in Dalls in November of this year.
