Press conference at 5:00 EST! I won't type what people around here are saying they would do to this individual. One of the funnier ones though is to put him in "Southie", an area of Boston often depicted in movies and just let the locals have at this individual.

I heard a journalist yesterday talking about "3 things Boston does really well. 1. Sports. 2. Politics. 3. <long pause> Revenge."

Hopefully they will have some answers at the press conference (motive....)

I certainly hope it's true and that it's the right guy. I was thinking this morning it would probably be within the week, with all the videos and pictures they had to work with.

I would not trust NBC or ABC as well remember Sandy hook and all the false reporting. I would think we need to wait until 5:00 for the press conference.

NBC broke into programming about a half hour ago saying there were too many conflicting reports to say for sure there has been an arrest.

But I like PQ's version of the story better so let's cross our fingers it holds true!

Well I spoke too soon, now they're saying they do have a suspect yet no arrests have been made. Last time I trust my push notifications from my Iphone app of local FOX news station. Dang media.....

Investigators reported major progress in the Boston Marathon bombing case Wednesday, but that there had been no arrest, despite conflicting news accounts.

Just like they jumped all over the Saudi national with burns on his hands that just turned out to be another innocent victim. Until I see it on the news, from an official person, and they show footage of someone in cuffs, I won't bother listening.

From CNN News blog a few minutes ago: no arrest.

"[Updated at 2:33 p.m. ET] There is conflicting information as to whether someone has been arrested in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings.

A federal law enforcement source told CNN's Fran Townsend that someone was arrested. But two senior administration officials and another federal official then told Townsend that there had been a misunderstanding among officials and that no one has been arrested."

There is a difference between a suspect in custody and an arrest.

I just hope if/when they make an arrest, the media doesn't Richard Jewell the person.

Too many false stories for me...Boston PDs Facebook page has been fairly accurate though. I'm watching for official statements there.
