Just received this email and want to know if it is legimate?! The email says "Please e-mail a scanned copy of the edit report response in reply to this e-mail OR fax it to 202-452-6497 today - April 19, 2013.

Looks legitimate. Did you fail to give your edit report response with your submission? If so, that would explain it even more.

We got a similar email last year because the original edit report got caught in our SPAM filter and never made it through. Did you get an edit report after you submitted?

We had no problems submitting the required documents. Thought maybe this was mass mailing...Still leery of faxing or emailing this in case they are not legit.

They've sent things out in error before. I got one like this two years ago, sent to our CEO. Got things all stirred up here, but we ended up finding out that it was an error on their part and they actually did have our submission.

If you have the confirmation of receipt of your edit report, send it in to them and request verification on what they're looking for. Or give them a call if you can.

We have our confirmation letter, too....

It would be better to respond in case they lost something on their end. Just saying "we have our confirmation letter" and then your data being considered missing would not be a good thing.

Just received a call from HMDA Help and said they abbreviate our bank name on their database and so we need to change ours on the transmittal to match theirs...Nice of them to let us know. I'm just saying...
