The name of the government has been reported a Russia and also an "Unnamed" government.

Russia would be the most likely but the way other articles are written it may have been another.

The comments from the two brothers' parents were crazy.

It's the underlined part of the above quote from the NBC article that gives me the willies. Why haven't I heard anything about "hundreds of terrorists" being captured, convicted and incarcerated? Hopefully they're not being held anywhere near each other 'cause lord knows what havoc they could band together to wreak even in prison.

I read that THAT was under a little used, special privilege to waive miranda for threats of immediate danger (terrorism).

^^^I heard that too. Also that his statement isn't really necessary to nail his assets in this case because they have sufficient evidence. They're much more interested in pumping him for information. I believe that now that he's formally charged they had to mirandize him.

They said that the night they captured #2, while he was being 'detained'. Public safety clause. It was part of the press conference.

I think that the federal authorities and LEO's in and around Boston have done an extraordinary job in handling all of this so far. They have taken the apporpriate steps at the appropriate time, they have followed the law and they took more than reasonable care to preserve the life of an obvious combatant that had already taken numerous civilian and law enforcement lives and he had attempted to take more. He is entitled to and will recieve a fair trial. But I find it highly unlikely that he will ultimately survive the choice that he made.
