If you have a customer that brings in multiple checks to cash and they are run together by the teller in 1 single cash out transaction would you check multiple transactions? Would it be considered multiple transactions because more than 1 instrument is cashed or not multiple transactions because they were conducted at the same time and created only 1 line item on the teller journal.

Ex: Customer cashes checks drawn off of account A for $5000, account B for $6000. No attempt at structuring, just 2 different accounts with different purposes. Both checks are presented at the same time. Teller batches the checks cashed and a single cash out ticket is created for $11,000.

Somewhere over the rainbow...
I would count that as 1 transaction

There is no specific answer, as it usually depends on how your systems work. If there is only one teller cash out ticket supporting the transaction, most banks would treat this as one transaction.
