I'm second guessing myself on a CTR.

Mom brought in $15,000 cash to buy a BMO. She listed son as the remitter and told the teller her son was working and couldn't get in to make the purchase.

I listed both on the CTR- mom conducting the transaction on behalf of son. In my mind the son benefited from the transaction and we had knowledge of that.

Did I go too far?

You're correct. Both belong on the CTR.

Similar question - probably a redundant answer.

A non-customer and a customer are both listed on an Official Check. The check is endorsed by both individuals. The non-customer enters the branch and cashes the check. The customer is not present.

Are both listed on the CTR?
