I agree Truff - I just get very irritated with the messages that our kids get. I thank GOD I have a boy that is not 'image' sensitive instead of a teenage girl - not sure how I would handle it!!

Funny thing - I went to school to get my degree in Marketing and Advertising - then realized that I just didn't have it in me based on the amount of deception I found in my first year or so of core studies.

Then I ended up in Banking....where the government makes us confuse our customers instead under the rouse of making things 'clear and conspicuous'...maybe I should have stayed where I was.

I've often considered starting a bank called "Smart Bank" and our advertising slogan is "only smart people bank here." Then i started thinking that based on experience, i would have few customers...

Advertising slogan at a local motorcycle store "We screw the other guy and pass the savings on to you".

I've never really been a fan of A&F. I've had a few shirts from there. I was given a shirt as a gift one year and it was a Medium, which is normall the size I wear. The shirt was so tight that I could barely move in it. I'll stick with Kohls.

That I totally agree with. Although I believe they are well within their right to design products for the customers they are targeting, to practice discrimination for employment purposes is unacceptable.

On a side note I now work at a bank with a lax dress code. I put on a suit today because I have a big meeting. I could not button the top button without choking to death.

And "only smart azzes work here". Based on my experience, you'd have no problem finding staff.

We picked up some button extenders for my FIL when his shirts got a bit tight for him-seemed to work well.

I haven't been in an A & F for years. But we did buy clothes for my daughter there, but it was one of the only places we could get the 00 pants that would fit. That was back when she was 13-14. I didn't like the store either and I detested Hollister! You can't hear yourself think even before you step into their doors!

What's interesting is this isn't the first time he's made these comments. He made the same comments probably around 5 years ago.
