I have a fricking screw in my front tire.  That happened to me whilst driving by Phoenix College. I ended up going to Costco to have the tire replaced.

Mazda doesn't bother to tell you how much you'll have to budget for to replace the tires they put on their cars.  I've spent a mint putting new rubber on mine.

Two new front tires: $562, priceless... Whaaah??? Mine ended up costing $4.98 because I'd replaced all my tires at Costco. The price took into consideration the amount of wear on the treads (basically, none). I walked to the market and bought over-priced cheese while they were doing their thing.

4 Goodyear Eagles on my the car my daughter drives for under $400 at a local shop.
2 new tires for my truck - Over $450.

I've never had to put tires on a car before, my cars have always died before the tires got worn out  My current one will be the first time, hopefully!

I drive 5,000 or fewer miles per year, and in the past none of my cars have lasted longer than 18 months due to engine or transmission failure, or wrecking it. All were cash purchases, old Buicks. But now I'm a real adult with a car loan!
