(And I was in better shape from just getting off a deployment) but at least I finished!! Anyone else in Oklieehoma going tomorrow? Other BOLers have y'all done it/are going to do it in your state?

The Sovereign State Of Oklahom...
I have to miss the Okie one this year. (The one at Tulsa was a beast with that hill). But I'm going to try to make up for it with the Titan Challenge and hopefully a tough mudder somewhere. The Inola course is new to me so I havent got a clue what the terrain will be like, but cool that you are doing it! I have a half marathon in Ft Worth on June 29th and series of 5K's call the Hot Summer Nite Series. I have two more Duathlons this summer....
Racing is getting expensive! laugh

Have fun, erica. Looks miserable. I'm just doing a plain old 5k tomorrow. I haven't seen course map, but I think it should be a nice flat course.

I keep asking myself that, yet I have signed up for two. To say I could, maybe?? There is beer at the finish line. That helps. grin

I did the one in Tulsa at Turkey Mountain. It was a beast but it was a blast.

If I didn't have a little one to watch at home I would be doing it this year.

After you get over feeling like you are going to die, you will be on a endorphin high for about two hours. It is great!

Good luck!

Where I am supposed to be
I did one in Minnesota last year that was at a ski resort. The obstacles weren't bad but trying to run up and down the ski hills was brutal.

You'll do great erica! Matt is doing a Tough Mudder tomorrow, so he will be feeling your pain and also enjoying a beer at the end. smile

You know, the beer...well, maybe it's just me but after the first 2-3 sips it didn't appeal to me at all and I just tossed it!

All I really wanted was a shower, and some Denny's! I got the Denny's at least. The finish line was just a little past the 11 mile mark, it was a really nice day for it, mostly overcast, nice breeze, mid 70's. Felt surprisingly good yesterday and today, not overly stiff or achy. Hopefully Erica can say the same!

A bunch of buddies and I are doing one in Jersey this July. While not in the shape we used to be, we are still in decent shape. I'm still not 100% sure what the dash entitles? Is it just a 12 mile course with various obstacles?

ACB, hit the website for the race and it will give you an obstacle list on the map. Its really fun and a great way to get people involved that are not hard core runners. I promise you can do everything.

ACB - Where in Jersey? And when? My hubby is dying to do some kind of mudder, but I think he's got his heart set on the Zombie run later this summer... (Mud and Zombies. Oy - I'll be waiting at the finish line with the beer.)

Next year I'm hoping to make a serious effort for a group one in Missouri. Even if we can't get a bunch of people to commit to the race, having spectators would be fun, and having a group to party with afterward wouldn't be so bad either!

I got a random email yesterday from a former co-worker asking if I had any interest in a Warrior Dash in August not far from here...I have a feeling I might end up doing that as well, if it works out. It's shorter, not proportionally cheaper but still cheaper, and closer to home (since both big ones I've done have been 4+ hours away!). It's something I'll at least have to think on.

I lied. It's the Warrior Dash on August 3rd at Lewis Morris County Park. My run starts at 11 AM. Zombie run? What is that? Sounds fun................

Zombie Runs are a hoot! Basically, it is a game of tag for adults! Typically, there are "runners", "Slow zombies" and "fast zombies".

Oh man Matt you are hardcore! The Dash was just a 5k. I am thinking about doing a mudder soon and having those 10-12 miles under my belt. Especially now that I felt the warrior dash was too easy. We will see.

I am SO wanting to do a zombie run this year, but I haven't found any in my area.

out of the frying pan...
I just discovered that there is a mud run within an hour of here, but it's June 1st and there's no way I'd be ready in time. They are also advertising a Reaper Run in October, but don't have any details about it up yet. Anyone have an idea what that might be?
