No......always in a paper or plastic cup with paper towels in there. And i don't like old spit cups either, so they're always pretty fresh.

Yet another reason ladies never drink out of the bottle (or can.)

Gave up dipping 26 years ago. Not because of the bottles everywhere, but because there werent any bottles anywhere. I had reached the point of never spitting. Decided that couldnt be a good thing Copenhagen in your gut is bound to be bad.
What really amazed me was how much better my wind (stamina) was after I quit. The nicotine bonds to your hemoglobin with dip just like it does with smoke. eek

I was born with one, but was lucky enough to have surgery before I was 2 years old, so my eyes focus together and you can't tell. Even with the surgery and therapy the vision in my formerly 'lazy' eye is significantly worse than the other.

One solution is to focus on the spot between the person's eyes - to that person it will appear like you are making eye contact. Try it - it works.

I also have one. Didn't have surgery until about 7 or 8 years ago. They just covered my good eye with a patch until I was old enough to leave glasses on and then frosted one lens. But I still have double vision. Always have. Therefore I have no depth perception but I haven't known it any other way so have adapted. Most people don't notice it unless I am really tired as I can use either eye, they just don't focus together like they should. My sister has the same problem, but she definitely looks like she is looking a different direction with one eye. Used to freak my kids out when they were little.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
Legitimate question - although it will come off sounding anything but...

so, if you have double vision normally, what happens if you drink too much? Triple vision? or no affect at all?

I'm curious because in my younger college days, i may have imbibed just a tad too much on occassion, and I always remember closing one eye to see normally...otherwise i had double vision.

I have a lazy eye ... never bad enough for surgery, mine was due to the small cateract in the dead center of my right eye, again, not bad enough for surgery. My main problem is that I passed my terrible eyes to my childeren (both of them). one has already had surgery and the other probably will in due time.

I feel terrible about it, even though there is nothing I could have done.

Where I am supposed to be
I had a lazy eye when I was a kid. Doctor had me wear a patch over my good eye for a month or so and I have not had a problem since thankfully.

My husband has a lazy eye. He has had 3 surgeries in his lifetime. For whatever reason, the nerves stretch. It's funny, when he is tired or drunk, I can see it along with my kids. No one else really can tell.

He also focuses out of one eye at a time. He uses his left eye for distance and his right eye for close. He has no depth perception. After 27 yrs together, I still get a kick out of watching him switch eyes. Again, other people don't see it, but I look for it.

I'll have to remember this if I ever get caught ogling anyone, "I'm sorry, that's just my lazy eye wondering around. The other one just came along for the ride."
