My son is the sponsor of a club at the high school where he teaches. Yesterday he took the club members to the Ronald McDonald House in Louisville. Some of the kids baked for the patients living there and others cleaned. He said the students loved it and wanted to know if they could go back. He's trying to instill giving to others to the students. I'm extremely proud!

Granna and I took all six grandkids to the Ft. Worth Zoo last week. The weather was perfect, the animals came out and up close and were perfect, the high priced food and souvenirs were perfect, and the young'uns..............................well they were perfect too!

What a wonderful trip, Quads. I'm sure you and Granna enjoyed every minute.

Both my kids brought home straight A report cards, and found out today that the oldest lettered in academics!

Good day in the household:

Daughter is trying to get into two programs at her School: (Plan A: Diagnostic Medical Sonography , Plan B: RadTech) . Yesterday she interviewed and was accepted into the RadTech program. So she has a fall back if plan A fails.


Son, pitched a no hitter yesterday in game one of a double header Pitching Line 3BB 9K. Did not allow a ball out of the infield.
In the second game he hit a 3 run HR to win the game 9-6.

It was awesome, he came to the plate, two guys on (2nd and 3rd) and no outs. The other teams coach called a time out and went to the mound. They were talking about walking my son and you can here the pitcher saying "I can get him". 2 pitches later the ball flew over the left field fence.

My teenager cleaned our the fridge by himself....

Was he hungry

Just got a call from my son's school. He has been invited to the National Jr Beta Convention for placing second in spelling for the state of TN.

That is A-W-E-S-O-M-E, AWESOME!

My son is 4 now, but at 3 he started reading some words. Now he reads some bedtime stories to me at night! Is this normal for 4 years old? well, even if it is..this Momma is extremely proud!

Relax, I would say that's not normal, but it's more common in kids who have been read to from a very early age. So, pat yourself on the back.

My oldest daughter tried out for one of the lead solo parts in her annual dance recital and she was chosen! This year, the studio she dances at is putting on their 50th Anniversary production of The Wizard of OZ and she will be Dorothy for their Friday night recital and then will be performing in her group dances on Saturday night.

I am so proud of her. She's been dancing for 4 years, and loves every minute of it. And,even though she is now rehearsing 3 nights a week, she is also an A student at school. I am one proud mama

My daughter's choir is singing the National Anthem at the Rangers game tonight.

My son will be 2 in August, and he counted to 6 yesterday all on his own! He was walking down the steps, counting each one as he went.
