Does anyone have a form/template that is used to change business signers? Something that gives a bank the authority to change the signers with the information needed for the signers so we can change the signature cards.
Thank you in advance.

We are wanting to come up with a form that we can send to a business headquarters for them to fill out specifying the individuals they want to sign on the account. This is a form that would be completed by them BEFORE a new corporate resolution and signature card is completed.

Why add a step?

Your CSRs run the bank??? Such recommendations should only come from legal counsel.

Looking for my sanity
I agree, why add a step, unless you're looking for something to gather the info, so that you can prepare the new signature cards? Does your bank have a business account "switch kit"? Basically a form for business development or customers to use when they are going to switch banks? If you Google "business bank account switch kit" you will find lots of examples on different banks websites. These aren't for changing signers, but you could take one of those and modify it to just the information you need for the new signers. Basically I assume you'd want to take all the info that you need from the signature card and put it on a form, generally that's part of these "switch kits" that are out there. Just a suggestion.

Our upper management thinks it is a good idea if it helps the CSRs get all of their information on the signers of a business. Not that the CSRs run the bank but they do have input in decisions the bank makes that concerns the reponsibilities of a CSR.

We have brain storming sessions and this was a suggestion made. Not that it will be a requirement for each business just an assistance.

I guess I am in the camp of why create another step - I guess we might not understand exactly what this form is supposed to do. You get a new resolution and a new signature card - what other information are you gathering?

If you use a form to gather information to speed up the process, it is okay. But why not just ask the customer to provide the names and titles rather than have forms going back and forth?

The main reason for the extra step is to get from a business headquarters (especially if the headquarters is a 1,000 miles away) exactly who needs to be signers on the account. With their authorization at the beginning before the resolution or signature card is changed.

You need a form that has to travel 1,000 miles for that? I would think that could be handled with a phone call.

You are here
It makes perfect sense; they need a form because they have issues obtaining forms.

C101- would I be correct in assuming your system requires you to input the signer info onto the account in order to generate the signature card? If so, I can understand why an extra form may be useful.

There's an account opening worksheet on the BOL tools page that you could probably customize to your purposes easily enough.

Yes JacFSB. It all needs to be inputed into the system before the signature card and corporate resolution is generated.
Thank you very much. This will help tremendously.

That is what I needed (help to find a form), something to get me started.
