After your CSR or loan officer opens a new account does someone or some other department review the CIP information/form for quality and completeness?

Does anyone have the CIP form review centralized within your BSA/AML dept? Would you mind sharing your process? Please end with your asset size. Thanks!

BSA reviews all business account applications and all loans.

We are have $315 million in assets and 7 branches in a suburban area. All deposit CIP forms are reviewed by a designated branch manager (one of our higher performing ones) on a daily basis. She contacts branch staff for issues that need correction and tracks exceptions. She forwards any major issues to me (BSA Officer). Loan CIP forms are reviewed in loan operations. We usually have more issues here. It's not that they don't "do" CIP, they just don't document it on the form properly. Loan ops has to have them re-do the forms often from the information in the file.

Loan operations will review loan documentation including CIP before disbursement of funds.

If the CIP was performed at the closing, the closing attorney is responsible for the CIP, and loan operations will make the attorney go back to the borrower and complete CIP if it was not completed correctly at closing.
